DExam is a monolingual English language exam which follows the recommendations of the Common European Framework of Reference and assesses general language proficiency necessary for realising communicative goals at elementary, intermediate and advanced levels in topics matching the interests of applicants.

At levels B2 and C1 DExam is a general language exam that satisfies the needs of secondary school, university and college students in the use of language, and which genuinely takes human and scientific interests into consideration. In DExam candidates interested in social sciences and the arts can demonstrate their language proficiency in tasks with themes drawn from the humanities or of general interest, whereas those showing an interest in science and technology will have a better chance of proving their knowledge of English by choosing the Science module.
