List of topics

For example, under the theme shopping we find 'stores, markets' at level B1, 'shopping habits' at B2, and 'changing shopping habits' at C1, which reflects the quality change in requirements regarding the topic of shopping.

At levels B2 and C1 besides tasks based on general topics there are module tasks satisfying the interests of candidates in arts and science. The module tasks are based on scientific texts and recordings provided for educated lay people, or in the case of active language production, candidates are expected to construct such texts. The module tasks do not require special professional knowledge, and factual knowledge is not tested in the course of the exam.
The Arts module chooses its topics from humanities and arts, e.g. literature, history, psychology, music, etc. Topics in the Science module  belong to the area of natural sciences, agriculture and technology, e.g. physics, biology, informatics, environmental studies, etc.
The purpose of introducing module tasks is to raise the motivation and self-confidence of our candidates and provide a higher chance of success by giving them the opportunity to choose texts and recordings in accordance with their interests.
